Dean Languell joined Rycat in 2000 after working
for Imtech Corp., a leading supplier of data/video wall display systems. He
developed requirements and end user needs for the design team of the Impress and
Activu control applications, which are device control and network system
management software products.
Prior to that, Mr. Languell was co-founder of The
Waveform Group, Ltd., an Audio-Video and Control systems integration company
where he developed the Theory of Operation as related to hardware/software
requirements and user interfaces for control of presentation systems.
Between 1984 and 1995, Dean’s independent work
included technical consulting services to organizations such as the Smithsonian
Institution, National Council for the Traditional Arts, National Park Service
special events programs, and various cultural and ethnic arts and performance
organizations. In addition, contract work included projects such as the
Challenger Learning Center, an educational facility near Houston, TX.
His study of audio systems, electronics, and
psychoacoustics led to the research and development of a patented multi-channel
sound field processor, Triambience Synthese, developed with Sonic Research
Associates of Arlington, TX.
Dean is a member of the Audio Engineering Society
and the National Systems Contractors Association.
