Senior Vice President of West Coast Operations 

Prior to joining Rycat, John Brooks headed his own consulting firm catering to the needs of the broadcast and communications industries.  Mr. Brooks was New York Manager of Burbank Projects for NBC, responsible for New York-funded capital projects in Burbank.

During his undergraduate studies at Boston University and Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Mr. Brooks was Staff Medical Photographer at the Peter Bent Brigham Hospital/Harvard Medical Center.  After college, he joined Raytheon Service Company as a Color Research Specialist.  John helped form a systems contracting company, Lebow Labs Audio-Video of Boston.  During this period, he also served as Technical Specialist in the U.S.S.R. for the GTE Sylvania Electronic Special Systems group.

John joined the staff of a large AV design firm, working in both New York and Los Angeles, and specializing in large systems design and implementation.  In order to further his field experience, he became Senior Project Consultant for Paul Alan Magil and Associates of Costa Mesa, acting as an on-site representative in Atlantic City for six casino-hotels.

John is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE), the Society of Motion Picture and Television Engineers (SMPTE), the Society of Broadcast Engineers (SBE), and the Consultants Council of the ICIA.  He holds an FCC, First Class Radiotelephone License.
